Remediation
Like any physical asset, drainage infrastructure is subject to wear and tear over time. Metcor Environmental delivers essential remedial works with in-house technical experts in drainage, civils and pumps. These services are essential to improve safety, environmental compliance, and operational performance on site.
Groundworks
Damaged manhole covers or channel drainage present serious safety hazards, while root ingress, water table shifts and poor maintenance can create structural weaknesses in drainage systems. In order to mitigate these risks and ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, it is essential that any defects are identified and remedied as soon as possible. Our nationwide groundworks teams are on hand to scope, quote and deliver urgent repair works.
Our team’s expertise also encompasses larger excavations and groundworks, including new drainage installations, resurfacing, or tank installations. We have successfully carried out hundreds of large-scale, phased remediation programs. Please speak to our team to discuss any requirements you may have.
No-dig drainage repair
If you have had a CCTV survey [link] carried out, we may find that there are significant internal defects in your drainage system, such as partial collapses, bowing, or fracturing. In such instances, it will be far less costly and disruptive to repair the drain from within, rather than embarking on a full-scale excavation.
If Metcor Environmental recommend a “no dig” approach, our teams will insert a liner impregnated with resin into the damaged pipe. Once in position, the liner will be inflated and the resin cured, creating a strong new lining within the pipe. The pipe relining technology returns damaged pipes to better-than-new condition at a fraction of the cost of replacement.
Pump repair and refurbishment
When pumps fail on site, the impact can be catastrophic. Malfunctioning booster or circulator pumps can shut off water, heating or cooling services to an entire building, while wastewater pump failures can quickly cause flooding and water damage. Metcor are equipped with a national team of mobile pump technicians to deliver urgent on site mechanical and electrical repairs. We can scope, quote and deliver a full range of pump repairs on site.
Our group also has its own state-of-the-art workshop facility to refurbish pumps. Our workshop specialists can often extend the asset life of a faulty pump, saving clients considerable cost and improving sustainability.
If your site is experiencing problems with its pumping equipment, please get in touch to discuss how we might be able to help.
